Alexander Young - DevOps and System Engineer
Member Bio
4th year (Senior) in Computer Engineering. I have a very
particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long
career. Skills that make me an excellent DevOps Engineer and
System Administrator.
I have worked at Drake University Head Start (Still Employeed),
Homesteaders Life Company, and the ISEAEG Research Lab (Still
Employeed).
In my free time, I usually do work, or if not work, then I like to
learn new things, even if they are not related to my field. I also
enjoy playing video games. My favorite games right now are the
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games, PMD Explorers of Sky and Rescue
Team DX. I also enjoy the Core series games, though 4th Gen is my
favorite right now.

Nate Tucker - Tech. Lead
I am a senior studying software engineering. My specialties are web development in the cloud, specifically with AWS. I have been working at Pearson for 3 years in both cyber security and React Development positions. I also work for the ISEAGE research lab on campus, doing Cyber Defense Competitions for students.
My experience is largely with React and React based frameworks, and many of my personal projects are based around web applications hosted with AWS Amplify. My favored language is TypeScript, although I have worked with JavaScript along with many other web frameworks such as ASP.NET Core in C#, Django in Python, and Express in JS.
Outside of development, I also DM D&D with a few friends and have other campaigns in the works. I also enjoy playing various Pokémon games such as Mystery Dungeon and am very excited for the Diamond and Pearl remakes.
Tom Sun - User Experience and Requirements
I'm a senior studying Computer Engineering and Communication Studies.
My interests are in embedded systems hardware and software development,
as well as computer architecture design. After graduation, I'll be working
as a Software Engineer at Kingland Systems Corp, developing full-stack
web-based applications. I'm also planning on pursuing a MBA degree after
graduation.
In the past, my web development experience is mainly with Angular and Spring.
I also worked with dev-ops tools such as the AWS suite and Jenkins. I'm excited
to learn more about web-development form this project and try out new languages
and tools. I also worked on embedded systems projects using VHDL and C.
In my free time, I like to take photos, disc golf, and play video games. I'm also
working on my private pilot's license.
Quinten Sorice - Client Point of Contact
I am in my 9th-going-on-10th semester at Iowa State studying Software Engineering.
My area of interest is web design, using just about any JavaScript framework on the market.
I am currently in the hunt for a full time position once I graduate in the Spring, and
plan to obtain an MBA after a few years in the industry.
My experience includes four internships with a variety of companies, with my focus throughout being the
development of headless and hybrid CMS web applications based in JavaScript frameworks as a part of client
contracts, ranging from data analytics presentation for Infutor to the main webpage of Berkshire
Hathaway Home Services.
When I'm not working, I can usually be found training for triathlons and marathons or gaming with friends.
This year was my first marathon and second half ironman triathlon, hopefully next year has more good events
in store.
